Made from Nocellara Messinese olives, this unfiltered extra virgin olive oil delivers a rich herbal aroma and smooth, peppery (piccante) finish. With notes of freshly cut grass, green tomato, almond and artichoke, it is sure to liven up any dish. Delightfully green, flavorful and buttery, this olive oil is especially delicious with soup, fish, salad and pasta. The low acidity also gives it a higher smoke point than other oils, making it ideal for the preparation of sautéed and fried foods.
The Nocellara Messinese olive is an indigenous Sicilian cultivar. The warm Sicilian sun and cooling breezes from the Tyrrhenian Sea nurture these olives to perfection, making each harvest a delicious testament to the Sicilian terroir.
